Salem, Oregon – The Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles will meet for a long-term policy workshop on Aug. 1 in Salem. The details for that and other upcoming meetings are:

Licensing and registration subcommittee meeting: 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 at Oregon Department of Transportation, 355 Capitol St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (Training Rooms A/B).

Insurance and liability subcommittee call: 1 p.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2 to confirm recommendations for the Aug. 15 task force meeting. (Location TBD)

The task force was created by House Bill 4063 and names 31 stakeholders as members, including four legislators, state agency representatives, law enforcement, truck and automobile interests, technology company representatives, consumer interests, worker interests and more. The Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles will report to the legislature with recommendations for legislation by Sept. 15, 2018.
