Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles subcommittees to meet July 24, July 25 and Aug. 1

Salem, Oregon – Subcommittees for the Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles will meet July 24, July 25 and Aug. 1 in Salem. The schedule for the third round of meetings is:

  • Cybersecurity and long-term policy subcommittee meeting: 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 24 at Oregon Department of Transportation, 355 Capitol St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (Room 240).
  • Law enforcement and crash reporting subcommittee meeting: 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Oregon Department of Transportation, 355 Capitol St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (Room 103).
  • Insurance and liability subcommittee meeting: 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Oregon Department of Transportation, 355 Capitol St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (Room 103). 
  • Licensing and registration subcommittee meeting: 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 at Oregon Department of Transportation, 355 Capitol St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (Training Rooms A/B).

The task force was created by House Bill 4063 and names 31 stakeholders as members, including four legislators, state agency representatives, law enforcement, truck and automobile interests, technology company representatives, consumer interests, worker interests and more. The Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles will report to the legislature with recommendations for legislation by Sept. 15, 2018.

The agenda will include time for public comment, which can also be submitted via email to OregonAVTaskForce@odot.state.or.us.
