Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles subcommittees to meet June 12, June 20 and June 21

Salem, Oregon – Subcommittees for the Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles will meet June 12, June 20 and June 21 in Salem. The schedule for the second round of meetings is:

  • Licensing and registration subcommittee meeting: 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Oregon Department of Transportation, 355 Capitol St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (Room 103).
  • Cybersecurity and long-term policy subcommittee meeting: 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Oregon Department of Transportation, 355 Capitol St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (Room 103).
  • Insurance and liability subcommittee meeting: 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 at Oregon Department of Transportation, 355 Capitol St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (Room 103). 
  • Law enforcement and crash reporting subcommittee meeting: 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 21 at Oregon Department of Transportation, 355 Capitol St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (Room 103).

The task force was created by House Bill 4063 and names 31 stakeholders as members, including four legislators, state agency representatives, law enforcement, truck and automobile interests, technology company representatives, consumer interests, worker interests and more. The Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles will report to the legislature with recommendations for legislation by Sept. 15, 2018.

The agenda will include time for public comment, which can also be submitted via email to OregonAVTaskForce@odot.state.or.us.
