The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is continuing to invest in Oregon’s future with roadway improvement projects throughout Oregon’s central region (ODOT Region 4). ODOT is committed to providing a safe, efficient transportation system. The following projects reflect ODOT’s commitment to make improvements as traffic numbers rise and to make the roadways safer and more efficient for drivers. All work is dependent on weather conditions. Red denotes new or updated information.

 

DESCHUTES COUNTY

 

US 97: Romaine Village Way to Lava Butte

 

Construct widening of west side shoulder, slopes, install median barrier, and paving.

 

For the week of September 26th, 2016. The Contractor will be placing concrete barrier at the center of the roadway. The fast lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions will be closed 24 hours while the contractor utilizes the fast lanes to set the barrier. Roadway striping may be intermittently ongoing throughout the week.

 

US97 @ Wickiup Jct. (La Pine)

Project Consists of Bridge, Earthwork, and Drainage along US97.

 

For the week of Sept 26th, 2016. No work on site.

Reconstruct of George Millican Road from MP 0.17 to 1.50

 

For the week of September 26th, 2016. The Contractor will be working on Millican Road in the area of MP 0.17 to 1.50 placing and grading base aggregate. Traffic will be driving on gravel surface and can expect up to 20 minute delays. Contractor will also be placing and grading shoulder aggregate MP 9.0 to MP 15.65.

OR 380: Ochoco Creek Bridge Replacement

 

For the week of September, 2016. Bridge work will continue throughout the week. Lanes closures may occur intermittently for the work to proceed. Delays will be minimal.

 

KLAMATH COUNTY

OR 140: Ritter Rd. – Deer Run Rd. (Bly Mtn.)

This project will reconstruct 9.2 miles of OR 140 in the Bly Mountain area (from Ritter Road to Deer Run Road). The intersection of OR 140 and the Bly Mountain Cutoff Road will be realigned.

 

The Contractor will be working on permanent sign, delineator, rumble strip, and aggregate shoulder installation. Also, striping layout, and survey work will take place. Traffic will be controlled by Flaggers and Pilot Cars during work shifts. Expect delays up to 20 minutes.

US97: UPRR O'xing - Military Crossing & OR58: Cresecent Lake Hwy - The Dalles - California Hwy

 

US97 Grinding, Paving, and shoulder work. Sunday night through Friday Morning (6pm - 9am), One lane Traffic controlled by Flaggers and Pilot Cars. Expect delays up to 20 minutes.

I-84: Mosier to The Dalles

Project consists of paving, and the installation of new median barrier.

 

For the week of September 26th, 2016. The Contractor will be performing single lanes closures from MP 75 to MP 85, East and West bound to grind and pave the roadway surface. Expect Delays

 

I-84 will be reduced to a single lane in both the east and westbound direction. Speeds have been reduced to 50mph through the construction zone. Work hours: Sunday 7pm to Friday 11am.

I-84: The Dalles - Fifteen Mile Creek Section

 

For the week of September 26th, 2016. The Contractor will be performing single lane closures to repair the concrete surface I84 Eastbound. Expect Delays
