The Oregon Health Authority’s School-Based Health Center (SBHC) State Program Office (SPO) is in the midst of a multi-year process to revise and update their program requirements, including their current SBHC Standards for Certification. As they move through this process, SPO is seeking folks who would be interested in giving big picture feedback on the future of SBHCs in Oregon.
The team is hoping to have broad representation from different perspectives including health systems, behavioral health, reproductive health, education, community based organizations, rural health, local public health, tribal health – and others! Please share with folks in your networks who might be interested in this opportunity.
Potential committee topics include:
- SBHC Program values and priorities
- The role of SBHCs in Oregon’s safety net system
- Ways to reduce barriers and increase access to SBHCs
- Sustainability of SBHC services
- Partnership opportunities and areas of alignment
- Others, as defined by the Advisory Committee
The commitment:
- Attend quarterly Advisory Committee meetings
- Meetings will last 1.5-2 hours each and be held remotely beginning late 2023 or early 2024
- Payment is available for folks who meet the qualifications outlined in HB 2992. The current per diem is $166 per day.
If you are interested in participating in the Advisory Committee, please email Kate O’Donnell Kathryn.M.ODonnell@oha.oregon.gov by Friday November 17, 2023.
