COVID-19 Therapeutics Status Report:
Thank you for your role in supporting access to COVID-19 therapeutics in Oregon. Oregon Health Authority (OHA) appreciates your partnership as we continue to support COVID-19 prevention and treatment.
OHA's mission remains to make these medications available to cultural communities that have been disproportionately affected by severe COVID-19 illness and that have had limited access to effective treatment.

Shelf-Life Extension for Sotrovimab:
On February 15, 2023, FDA authorized a shelf-life extension from 24 months to 30 months for the GlaxoSmithKline monoclonal antibody sotrovimab. Current COVID-19 variants circulating in the U.S. are not susceptible to sotrovimab, therefore it is not currently authorized in the U.S. The federal government recommends sotrovimab supply be retained in the event that it is needed in the future. Retained product must be held in the conditions detailed in the authorized Fact Sheet for Health Care Providers and the Letter of Authorization for sotrovimab.
Walgreens and Rite Aid Free Home Delivery Programs:
Walgreens expanded the oral antiviral free prescription delivery service to include Lagevrio. Patients can get their Lagevrio or Paxlovid prescription delivered to their home at no cost via Walgreens.com and the Walgreens app. Delivery services are available to anyone who lives within 15 miles of participating Walgreens locations.
Rite Aid offers free home delivery as a service at all its locations. Oral antivirals included in this delivery program include Lagevrio, Paxlovid and Reduced Dose Paxlovid.
Conversations on Health Care - Discussion with President Biden’s COVID-19 Advisor:

Dr. Osterholm spoke on critical COVID-19 topics such as masks/respiratory protections, testing, vaccines, therapeutics, public health emergency unwinding, 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act, and public health transformation/modernization. Dr. Osterholm also spoke on the underuse and benefits of life-saving therapeutics, such as Paxlovid.
Reminders
COVID-19 Therapeutics Locator Tool Includes Outpatient Veklury (remdesivir)
HHS is asking (see letter) healthcare partners who offer Veklury (remdesivir) for outpatient use to opt in and register (click here) on their COVID-19 Therapeutics Locator to improve public awareness and product access. All that is needed to register is location information and agreement to participate. There is currently only one site registered for Oregon and we want to make sure that the locator provides a comprehensive look at the therapeutics available in the state.
