Oregon’s Weekly Surveillance Report for Influenza and other Respiratory Viruses

Summary:

During Week 08 (February 19 - 25, 2012), OSPHL reported that 8 specimens tested positive for influenza.
6 influenza-related hospitalizations have been reported during Week 08 for the Portland Tri-County metropolitan area.
33 influenza-related hospitalizations have been reported so far during the 2011-2012 season.
Outpatient visits for influenza-like illness (ILI) remains below the season threshold.
