OregonBuys is here! On July 1, the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) was successfully replaced with OregonBuys. This marked the completion of the first phase of this two-phased project. We’re happy to share that so far 186 bids have been posted, and 1,038 staff with user accounts have logged in to the system.
Our team has now shifted focus to Phase 2, which releases added OregonBuys procure-to-pay functionality to groups of agencies in a series of three waves. We’ve also refreshed our eNewsletter with a new header to reflect the transition.
Phase 2 preparations are already underway, and planning is in progress. We held a forum on July 28 to give agencies an overview of what to expect in Phase 2 and will hold enterprise process inventory and process design in September. Subject matter experts from eleven agencies will participate in the process sessions that will cover state processes for requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, and invoices.
As we embark on the second phase of this project, we want to thank you for your continued partnership and collaboration. If you haven’t had a chance to check out OregonBuys, read the “Get to Know OregonBuys” section below and be sure to stop by and explore!
