| Oregon Transparency Update: May 2021
This update will explore expenditure, contract, and salary data for Oregon's (ESDs) Education Service Districts.
The purpose of service districts is defined in Oregon law (Oregon Revised Statute ORS 334.005). Each ESD provides regional services to its component school districts, primarily in areas where the school districts alone, would not be able to adequately and equitably provide services. There are four (4) primary categories of service: *Special Needs Children, *Technology, *School Improvement, and *Administration.
ESD Highlights
Nineteen (19) ESDs serve 36 Oregon counties. Links to data, charts, and information are on the Oregon Transparency website.
