As our project team gears up for Phase 1 Go-live, we spent most of April working with agencies on transition activities. This included training the Organization Administrators (OA) at core team agencies so they can complete system upload templates. These templates include contract load, agency configuration, and user roles.
Our focus is now on putting the final touches on the self-paced training modules. We also finalized the agency wave list for Phase 2. And, our vendor is developing catalogs for price agreements so that buyers can browse them in Marketplace.
We're excited for what the next few weeks will bring as the countdown to Go-live begins!
OregonBuys: One unified system — modernizing state procurement
Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) Replacement Go-live is just a few short weeks away. Here’s what you can do to be prepared:
- Core Team Agencies - get ready for the blackout period of June 16-30 by reading the transition guidance, and sign up in iLearn for the training that's best for your role. Contact your agency core team project coordinator for training info.
- Small agencies - submit your user information to Adam Helvey as soon as possible, read the small agency transition guidance, and sign up for training when it becomes available in iLearn.
- OrCPP members - submit your user information template to info.orcpp@oregon.gov, read the OrCPP transition guidance, and sign up for training when it becomes available in iLearn.
- Vendors - register for an OregonBuys account now.
OregonBuys Training for Agencies with Core Teams:
Facilitated (live, instructor-led) virtual training for procurement professionals who are in the Basic Purchaser (BP) user role starts May 11. Registration is now open in iLearnOregon (login required).
We'll announce other training soon for staff in the Department Access (DA) user role who will primarily search the catalogs in OregonBuys Marketplace. This training will be offered as self-paced online modules in iLearn.
OregonBuys training for small agencies and OrCPP members:
Self-paced online modules will soon be offered through iLearn. Stay tuned for training announcements coming soon.

The Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) is being replaced on July 1, 2021, with OregonBuys. When the switch happens, suppliers must be registered in OregonBuys to continue doing business with the state. Existing accounts will not transfer over and suppliers are encouraged to register now. Visit our webpage for registration instructions or to learn more.
Which system should you use to see current procurement activity?
*Secretary of State and Department of Forestry have already implemented and are actively using OregonBuys for their procurement activities.
