Project eNewsletter | November 2020
|
|
November was filled with activity and progress for the OregonBuys project. Our team focused its energy on finishing the project schedule ─ which we’re delighted to report is substantially complete. The Steering Committee will review and give final schedule approval in December. As we continue these efforts, we're excited to share the official date for the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) Replacement go-live: July 1, 2021.
Scheduling of core team orientations has also begun. We're sending invitations to large, medium, and some small-sized agencies for December sessions. If your agency is on the groupings list and you haven’t heard from Adam Helvey yet, you will hear from him soon. We're also planning to engage with small state agencies, boards, and commissions at a forum in February. Stay tuned to our future eNewsletters for forum details.
Additional project activities in November included assembling a team to test ORPIN Replacement enterprise processes. We also continued outreach to statewide price agreement vendors to get them registered in the system.
This month there is much to be thankful for. We're grateful for project progress and loyal readers, like you!

We want to introduce our newest project team
member, Ricardo Benavidez.

outreach and coordination for small agencies,
boards, and commissions.
Please join us in welcoming Ricardo to the team.

As the project team looks ahead, we are discussing training and making adjustments for COVID-19 restrictions.
Our team is now beginning to build a robust virtual training program with options that include:
- webinars
- self-paced videos
- reference resources
- and takeaways
We look forward to connecting with you in these virtual settings.

We’d like to thank those state agencies who are already working on gathering their unique procurement processes and cleaning up ORPIN backlogs. This preparation work is a huge help as we get ready for the transition to OregonBuys.
We appreciate you!
