August has been a busy month for the project team. We’re happy to report that our project plan and schedule are now in for final review with DAS Enterprise Information Services (EIS).
We’re getting very close to wrapping up all the required project pre-work and notice to proceed is right around the corner! The final review sessions with EIS are scheduled to run through early September.

OregonBuys: One unified system — modernizing state procurement
The OregonBuys system already in use by Secretary of State and Department of Forestry is now on a quarterly release cycle. In early September, the system will move to version 15.6.
Once we're on the newest version, Periscope Holdings will restart their outreach to statewide Price Agreement suppliers and vendors to get them registered in the system. Suppliers and vendors need to register in OregonBuys to continue doing business with the state after the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) is replaced.

Now is a great time to brush up on OregonBuys' information so that you're prepared for the next steps.
There are lots of online resources for state employees that can be explored while telecommuting. On our monthly forums webpage, you can view past forum videos with system demos, presentations and handouts. And, our state agency resources webpage has a variety of tools and information including a terminology crosswalk.
