Throughout May, the project team worked hard to finish 12 of the 19 deliverable sub-plans needed for Notice to Proceed (NTP). We’re now focused on completing the remaining sub-plans by the end of June, and aiming to be able to issue the NTP to Periscope Holdings by the end of July.
Once we have issued the NTP, we’ll share the final project schedule with you along with the timing for opening Phase 2 wave enrollment for state agencies. In the meantime, large and medium-sized agencies who have transitioned out of COVID-19 response efforts are welcome to resume OregonBuys preparation tasks as able.
OregonBuys: One unified system — modernizing state procurement
OregonBuys will go through a system upgrade in early June. The upgrade will move us to a new hosting platform and ready us for the “Marketplace” feature that will roll out during ORPIN replacement (Phase 1).
We’d like to thank volunteers from Secretary of State, Department of Forestry, and DAS SFMS who helped us prepare for and test the upgrade.

OregonBuys is one project with two phases. Here's a quick reminder of what will happen in each phase:
Phase 1 will begin by replacing the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) for all state agencies, Oregon Cooperative Procurement Program members (OrCPP), and vendors. This phase also includes the roll out of "Marketplace" for searching statewide price agreements.
Phase 2 will rollout additional procure-to-pay functionality (beyond ORPIN) for state agencies. After the completion of these two phases, additional procure-to-pay functionality will be made available to OrCPPs.
We’ll schedule an OregonBuys forum for state agencies once we issue the NTP. Stay tuned to our monthly newsletter for more details. In the meantime, visit our website to view a past forum or demonstration.
Two main governing bodies guide the work of the OregonBuys project - Steering Committee and Advisory Council. This month we’re highlighting the members of our project steering committee:
