Throughout April, like most of you, our team has adjusted to the ongoing restrictions of COVID-19. We've shifted to teleworking and virtual meetings and continued our project planning and preparing for Notice to Proceed (NTP).
We know that agencies are busy with response efforts, so we’re not expecting agency staff to work on OregonBuys project tasks during the pandemic. We also want to share that we won’t open wave enrollment until the project schedule is finalized. Don’t worry about missing out – we’ll give plenty of notice before opening the enrollment period.
Once we recover from the crisis, we'll reengage with agencies and share the next steps. In the meantime, please reach out to the project team if you have questions or concerns by clicking the "contact us" button below.
OregonBuys: One unified system — modernizing state procurement
Our OregonBuys business partner, Periscope Holdings, is helping us respond to the pandemic. By creating a new "organization" in the system, we can now post notices for emergency supplies that reach more vendors. They've also given us access to catalogs of vendors who can provide emergency supplies.
These efforts have proven invaluable in helping us connect with suppliers outside of our normal reach.

Chris Patchell has accepted a new position with DAS Enterprise Technology Services and is no longer working on the OregonBuys project. While we recruit for her replacement, De Anna Harris will temporarily assist large agencies with project tasks.
We’ll share updates on the permanent plan for this role as it develops.
Although we haven't yet scheduled core team orientation meetings, we want to share that large and medium-sized agency orientations will take place in groups.
We're grouping agencies together based on business similarities, size and geographical location. Click the button below to find your agency’s group and stay tuned for scheduling information.

Please contact the project team if you have any questions or concerns about the agency groups: oregonbuys.info@oregon.gov.
The May 14 OregonBuys forum is being cancelled due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. We'll schedule our next forum around NTP so that we can share the finalized project schedule with you.
Please watch our future newsletters and website for forum announcements.
