Project update

In November, we held two successful forums that brought together staff from across 36 state agencies. The first forum focused on Accounts Payable topics, and the second addressed Procurement topics. This month we also welcomed De Anna Harris as our new business analyst. De Anna will be the technical liaison for agency stakeholders and will provide analysis to support OregonBuys configuration decisions. Please join us in welcoming De Anna to the team!

OregonBuys: One unified system — modernizing state procurement

What's coming

We're gearing up for the activities that will soon happen during Phase 1: replacement of the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN). We'll share more specific dates when they are available:   Winter 2019-2020 Form core teams in agencies (as needed) Enterprise solution functional testing (procurement) Initial meetings with large & medium agencies to review activities, discuss current procurement processes, etc. Agency wave enrollment   Spring 2020 Orientation for large & medium agencies Distribution of data collection templates (users, approvals, etc.) Small agency engagement Organization administrator training End user training and agency "build out" configuration

Agency wave enrollment

Soon state agencies will be able to self-select the wave in which they implement Phase 2  functionality of OregonBuys. In December, we'll send an announcement with advance notice of when the enrollment period will begin along with instructions. Designated Procurement Officers (DPOs) will make the official enrollment which will require collective agreement from Director or ABSD, IT, Procurement, and Finance.

What can ORCPP members expect?

During Phase 1 when ORPIN is replaced with OregonBuys, Oregon Cooperative Procurement Program (ORCPP) members will be able to search Statewide Price Agreements and post solicitations. At the same time, we'll be working with a select group of ORCPP members to pilot additional functionality. During Phase 2, the added functionality will become available to all ORCPP members. Added functionality includes: on-line receipt of responses from vendors and award/posting results.
