Dam Safety Rules Update

The OWRB is proposing to amend its administrative rules relating to dam safety construction application fees in Oklahoma Administrative Code 785 Chapter 5, and additional dam safety requirements in Chapter 25. A public hearing for the proposed changes was held on January 16th. The proposed rules and impact statements can be found on the OWRB website.  Click here to see the proposed rule changes!

FEMA HHPD Grant Program

FEMA's Rehabilitation of High Hazard Potential Dams (HHPD) nationwide grant program funding has increased from $22 Million in FY22 to $185.1 Million in FY24. The Dam Safety Program is currently preparing their application for funding. The OWRB will reach out to eligible dam owners with more information once the Oklahoma award amount and approval are received from FEMA.
