The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) has received feedback from licensees, the Executive Advisory Council and other industry stakeholders expressing a preference for count-based pre-pack item categories and tracking instead of weight-based. We escalated this feedback to our partners at Metrc, who are now working to implement the change.  

Beginning Dec. 1, 2025, flower and bud, kief and shake/trim will transition from weight-based to count-based pre-pack item categories and tracking in Metrc.  

Licensees with existing weight-based pre-pack inventory before Dec. 1 may continue transferring and selling those products until the inventory runs out. However, any new item created on or after Dec. 1 should be packaged and tracked by count rather than by weight.
