What major deadlines passed recently?
Aug. 24 Dispensary Deadline Dispensaries were required to sell or legally dispose of all untagged products — products outside of Metrc — on or before Aug. 24. Only tagged products inside Metrc can be sold after Aug. 25. Dispensaries that missed the deadline can send an email to OMMACommunications@ok.gov to request further guidance.
Aug. 26 Moratorium Per House Bill 3208, OMMA stopped processing new grower, processor and dispensary applications at 12 a.m. Aug. 26. The moratorium will expire Aug. 1, 2024, or earlier if OMMA’s executive director determines all pending license reviews, inspections or investigations are complete. Current licensees aren't affected by the moratorium and may still apply for renewal when it's time.
How many compliance inspections has OMMA completed so far in 2022?
From Jan. 1 to July 31, OMMA completed 6,409 inspections — about 54% of licensed businesses. The inspection rate has increased in the last several months as OMMA hired and trained more inspectors.
On the latest episode of High Points, OMMA Chief Regulatory Officer Michelle Reddish discusses the final Metrc deadline, as well as an update on transfer manifests. Visit omma.ok.gov/s2s for more information on the seed-to-sale system and to review the Agreed Order.
