Visitors will notice quick links on the homepage make applying for a license, checking the status of an application and verifying a license easier. In addition, finding specific information or a document can be done in just a few clicks. The new, user-friendly format also features a cleaner layout, providing a better browsing experience when visiting the site on a mobile device.
Aside from improved accessibility, site visitors will notice new information and other OMMA initiatives. OMMA is also collaborating with our partners on integrating real-time updates on the homepage.
The difference between a licensing portal login and a patient profile is important if you help someone else apply for a patient license, on your own or for a business.
A licensing portal login is tied to an email address and has a password. It's for an account in the Thentia licensing portal — OMMA’s platform for processing patient and business license applications. A patient profile is tied to a specific person, plus the information they include to apply for a patient license, like their address, photo and ID.
Each login can have more than one patient profile attached to it. That means there's an important extra step if you use one login to apply for multiple people's patient licenses, like often happens at patient clinics. After you log in to the patient portal, you must either select an existing profile using the button next to the patient's name, or create a new profile for a new applicant using the button at the bottom of the screen.

Note on Labeling OMMA has received reports that some licensed medical marijuana businesses may be using labels that say “OMMA Compliant” or something similar on product packaging. OMMA does not pre-inspect products before they’re available for sale. Labels that say “OMMA Compliant” or something similar could potentially violate OMMA rules that do not allow labels that are misleading, confuse patients or have the OMMA logo. Please report any possible violations using our Business Complaint Form.
Medical Marijuana Advisory Council Meeting The next meeting of the Medical Marijuana Advisory Council is scheduled for June 20, 2022, at 1 p.m. in Room 535 of the Oklahoma State Capitol Building. The agenda and meeting materials are forthcoming, so be sure to check our webpage periodically.
Legislative Update Now that the 2022 regular session has come to a close, our Policy team has updated our Legislative Updates webpage with the status of various medical marijuana legislation. The end of the legislative session marks the beginning of the rulemaking process, turning laws into regulations. The public will have the opportunity to be part of this process, and we will provide updates throughout the administrative rulemaking process on the OMMA website.
