Most Commonly Asked Recent Questions:
How do I check if a patient or business is licensed?
Our Response: OMMA Verify is connected to Thentia and able to update in real-time. To check the status of a commercial licensee, visit this site. You can search for the business by name, county, license number, etc. To check the status of a patient or caregiver license, visit this site. You will need the license holder's license number.
Where is my license?
Our Response: With the licensing system down for two weeks during the data transfer, there has been a delay in application processing times for patients and businesses. Businesses are now able to print their license certificate once approved, removing the need for a mailed physical license. Patient licenses are on track to be mailed within two business days after your application has been approved.
The Legislative Oversight Committee met Thursday, Feb. 10 to review the findings of the LOFT report on Oklahoma's medical marijuana industry. Findings from the report are included below: 1) State Question 788 Created the Most Accessible Medical Marijuana Industry in the Nation 2) Oklahoma's Rapid Implementation of Medical Marijuana did not Allow for Development of an Adequate Regulatory Structure 3) A Strengthened Regulatory Structure is Key to Identifying and Achieving Evidence-Based Goals
Prior to the report and deployment of this rapid response evaluation, the OMMA had begun the process of implementing many of the suggestions and recommendations included in the report, such as dividing our state into compliance regions (see image below), developing a strategic plan, hiring an interagency liaison to strengthen communication between agencies, using data to target compliance goals, developing a supply chain management strategy and more.
We look forward to working with members of the Legislature this session. Please do not hesitate to call on OMMA for assistance.
