Vaccine Ordering Updates - Nov.2, 2021

PEDIATRIC PFIZER 

  • Providers can now place pediatric Pfizer orders in OSIIS. 
    • Minimum quantity of 100 is available. 
    • If the provider needs to order less than 100 doses, they still need to place an order for minimum quantity 100 and add a note in Clinic Comments with the actual amount needed.  
  • Orders will be processed with a target date of Tuesday, Nov. 9 with delivery potentially starting Friday, Nov. 12. 
  • Less than minimum quantity orders will be redistributed by county health departments.
  • Please note adult Pfizer cannot be used in ages 5-11. Only the pediatric Pfizer can be administered to children.
  • If you need pediatric Pfizer before anticipated delivery, email VaccineHelp@health.ok.gov as soon as possible for assistance. 

ADULT AND ADOLESCENT PFIZER 

  • Only a minimum quantity of 1,170 is available.  
  • If the provider needs to order less than 1,170 doses, they still need to place an order for minimum quantity (1,170) and add a note in Clinic Comments with the actual amount needed.  

MODERNA 

  • Moderna is available to order in 14 doses per vial (140 doses minimum quantity)  
  • If the provider needs to order less than 140 doses, they still need to place an order for minimum quantity (140) and add a note in Clinic Comments with the actual amount needed.  
  • When doing inventory and checking deliveries, please check your vials for dose amounts.  

ORDERING SCHEDULE 

COVID vaccine order period is Tuesday through Monday.  Orders are sent for fulfillment each Tuesday and will be delivered by the end of the current week/early next week. For example, any order placed in OSIIS Tuesday, Nov. 2-Monday, Nov. 8, will be sent for fulfillment Tuesday, Nov. 9.

ALL COVID-19 VACCINES CAN GO IN THE SAME ORDER 

Providers do not need to create separate orders for different COVID-19 vaccine brands.  

ORDER APPROVAL PROCESS 

Every Tuesday-Wednesday, orders will be approved, edited, deleted or rejected in OSIIS depending on vaccine brand and quantities. A detailed note is left in each order to inform the provider about the order status.  

ORDER DELIVERY 

  • Orders less than minimum quantities will be delivered by the provider’s local county health department.  
  • Minimum quantity orders will be shipped directly by McKesson or Pfizer.
