Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Storage – Your Action Required by COB, Wednesday, May 19, 2021

Dear Provider,

If your organization is ordering or planning to order Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine please complete the survey by Wednesday, May 19, 2021

This survey helps determine if your facility needs dry ice shipment to store  Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine.

  • If your facility does not have an ultra-cold storage unit (-80⁰C to -60⁰C / -112⁰F and -76⁰F) and plans to use the thermal shipping container to store COVID- 19 vaccine, dry ice will be delivered within 24 hours of vaccine delivery to refill the thermal shipping container for the first re-ice only. If storing Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine more than 5 days a local dry ice source will need to be found.
  • If using a thermal shipping container to store Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, dry ice pellets will need to be added every 5 days or as needed to maintain temperatures.
  • If your facility has ultra-cold storage unit (-80⁰C to -60⁰C / -112⁰F and -76⁰F) for Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine we ask you to opt out of dry ice shipment in the survey.

Please refer to temperature guide to ensure proper storage of Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine in shipping container, ultra-cold freezer, freezer, and refrigerator.

We appreciate your time taking this survey. This information is crucial for successful COVID-19 vaccine distributions.

Thank you,
