EdPlan Updates go into effect on Friday, October 7th. Please review the EdPlan October 2022 Update Document for more information.
The special education child count is this Friday. All students fully enrolled in your district on or before Sept. 30 who have active IEPs and eligibility will be counted. If errors are not resolved by the close of certification on October 17 (the final certification date of the Oct. 1 Consolidated Report), those students will not be counted. If you have students who are not pulling to the Consolidated Reports’ Special Education list correctly, you can appeal the Sept. 30 count. Please see the appeal guidance here. We do ask that you follow the instructions carefully to ensure that we have the information we need to resolve the appeal as quickly as possible. Submit appeals as soon as possible but no later than October 12.

Applications must be completed and submitted by December 1, 2022. Districts not submitting a budget by December 1 will forfeit their allocation. For assistance, please contact your finance specialist.
There's no one-size-fits-all approach to transition planning. Students, teachers, and parents must work to identify creative ways for students to explore themselves, and their needs as they move swiftly towards their futures.
Student Involvement in the IEP process goes beyond a simple invitation to the table. In this workshop, teachers and stakeholders will gain an understanding of how individualized roles impact student contributions, and the steps they can take to support student involvement before, during, and after the IEP.

Individuals with multiple disabilities (cerebral palsy, visual impairment, cognitive impairment, autism, hearing impairment, etc.) are at great risk from developing reliance on others to interact with the world around them. Active Learning recognizes that every child/adult with special needs is unique; that programming and intervention for facilitating learning must reflect this individuality. This conference will help professionals and parents understand the theories of Active Learning, to facilitate simple ways to change the environment, and to create a daily curriculum that fosters independent and appropriate developmental learning.
The conference will be held on November 7 and 8, 2022 at Edmond North High School Auditorium. To register and learn more about the conference, view the event flyer.
