School Based Services/OHCA

On June 18, 2020, Governor Kevin Stitt and Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) CEO Kevin Corbett announced the state would seek proposals from qualified managed care organizations (MCOs) to improve health outcomes, increase access to care, and increase system accountability in the Medicaid program (SoonerCare). The Request for Proposals (RFP) is currently in the review process, with a planned release this fall and an anticipated implementation date of October 1, 2021. At this time OHCA is currently reviewing all responses and a contract has not yet been awarded. As a result, a provider has not been selected to partner with school districts to support school-based services. Once a provider has been selected and approved to partner with Oklahoma public schools, OSDE will provide additional information and guidance to you.
