Informational Webinar: Post High School Outcomes Survey (Indicator 14)

Annually, the Oklahoma State Department of Education Special Education Services surveys students a year after they exit high school. Students’ responses help us understand the post-secondary education and employment experiences of youth with disabilities.

Please join us for a webinar to learn more about a new opportunity to improve the data collection: we are looking for districts interested in partnering with us to collect information from their own former students. There are many benefits to conducting your own surveys, and for most districts, the time commitment is minimal. For more information about this project, we are hosting a zoom meeting on May 20. Registration is not required.

Topic: Indicator 14 Post School Outcomes Survey

Leverage the Power of Community

We invite you to join the Special Education Distance Learning Community, a place to come together to trade stories, ask questions, and connect through shared experiences. Margaret Wheatley wrote, “There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.”

This community of educators is also an outlet for sharing and acquiring adapted lessons and materials. By creating a depository of ideas, together, we can do more. The sharing form can be accessed at the Distance Learning Community Sharing Form (click here). Distance Learning Community Spreadsheet (Material Access)

We have been given a chance to see our students in a new light, and better connect with families knowing that the school year will not unfold as planned, all curricular goals will not be met, and expectations will be viewed with a new perspective. Our next Distance Learning Community connection will focus on transitions.
