On November 15, district Superintendents and Special Education Directors will receive an email containing annual documentation that reviews districts’ compliance with IDEA and student performance. The guiding state document for this process is available on our website. You will receive five documents in the email:
- Differential Monitoring Result Letter
- Determination
- Risk Score Report
- Significant Disproportionality Letter and Tables
- District Data Profile (final)

Healthcare and Transitional services are hosting an on the road training event for anyone working with special needs. On Thursday, December 6 information will be provided to help navigate the systems of healthcare and transition services for children with special needs.

Pursuant to the Joint Federal Programs Claims Procedures, districts should submit at least one claim by the end of November. Districts that have not filed a claim by November will be contacted.
Districts electing to use Project 615 funding must submit an on-line application by December 1st. Districts not submitting an online application by December 1st will forfeit their allocation and funds will be returned back to Special Education Services. Districts can access the online application through their Single Sign-On, Grants Management Expenditure Report.
School Based Medicaid Services Participation Agreement is now available through the Grants Management System. All districts choosing to use this agreement may begin completing their online application. Follow these steps for application completion.
1. Go to “GMS Access / Select” and scroll to available applications under IDEA. 2. Click “Create” on the line for “School Based Health Part”. Once you have created the application it will appear under your applications. 3. Please agree to all assurances, upload the signature page, and submit.
Note: On the signature page please make sure you include a signature, printed name, printed title, and date of board approval
