HB2957 Changes TLE Landscape

On May 16, 2016, Governor Mary Fallin signed House Bill 2957 and changed the way evaluation will function in Oklahoma.  While several pieces of the TLE process will be affected by this new law, one of the most significant is the elimination of the requirement to use student academic growth in Oklahoma’s teacher evaluation system.

In an effort to reduce the red tape at the district level, Superintendent Hofmeister has authorized Oklahoma school districts to end the roster verification process effective immediately.

For those curious about HB2957 and how it affects TLE, there will be a webinar titled "TLE Legislative Update" on Tuesday, May 24th, at 10:30 a.m.  Go to https://oksdeevents.webex.com to register.
