Value-Added Results Released Mid-April

Value-added results demonstrating student academic growth during the 2014-15 school year will be available for teachers and administrators the week of April 18th through the SSO2 portal. 

All administrators will be able to review school-level value-added results reports. Individual reports will be available for teachers who taught one or more of the following courses during the 2014-15 school year: math and reading in grades 4 through 8; Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and English III. 

District and school leaders should review the following guidance document for information about how to access and/or distribute reports for educators in their schools and districts: Accessing and distributing Value-Added Results Reports

Please note:  Access to any previous year value-added results will end on April 12, 2016.

Battelle for Kids Application Opens April 14th

The roster verification process will continue on April 14th when the Battelle for Kids application opens.  Participating school staff will be able to enter information and make changes to their uploaded class roster.  Once teachers have completed their rosters, administrators will be able to review and approve rosters in the Battelle for Kids application.  All rosters must be approved by June 15th.

Regional Stakeholder Advisory Groups Coming Soon

As the TLE Commission comes to an end in July, the State Department of Education wants to continue conversations related to TLE.  As a result, regional stakeholder advisory groups will soon be developed.  Comprising of five groups representing various regions of Oklahoma, these advisory groups will meet on a quarterly basis to discuss current issues on evaluation, improving our system, and moving toward a performance-driven model.   Each advisory group will include 30 participants including 16 teacher representatives, 7 administrative representatives, and 7 representative from the education community.  This will include any of the current TLE Commissioners who choose to stay involved in the process.  Each advisory member will represent a specific role in education.  The goal is to have at least 25 school districts represented at each advisory group.   The projected date for the first meeting will be October 2016.  If you have any interest in becoming an advisory group representative, please contact Jason Perez at Jason.Perez@sde.ok.gov More information will be available at a later date.

Plan ahead for June 15th

In an effort to maintain consistency with our TLE reporting procedures, the deadline for final submission of roster verification and TLE qualitative data reporting on teachers and administrators will stay the same as last year.  All reports will be due on JUNE 15, 2016.
