Compliance Inspections Update

Commercial licensees,

Although OMMA is not required to provide notice prior to compliance inspections, the agency intends to give licensees a seven-calendar-day window during which they may expect a routine compliance inspection to occur.

This process, effective April 6, 2026, is intended to provide licensees with general awareness while allowing OMMA to effectively carry out its regulatory responsibilities.

Once a licensee receives information from OMMA about an upcoming inspection, the business should expect a visit from OMMA compliance inspectors at any time during the seven-calendar-day window. As always, licensees should ensure they are operating in compliance with all statutes and rules at all times.
