ES2 Behavioral Program Webinar: Introduction to Controlling Your HVAC

This month’s ES2 energy manager webinar is titled “Introduction to Controlling your HVAC."

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) uses more energy than any other building system, making it one of the most important to understand and manage. In this month’s webinar, ES2 will explain the various ways that energy managers can manage their HVAC setpoints and scheduling as outlined in their guidelines. A basic introduction to the various types of controls, such as manual thermostats, programmable thermostats and Building Automation Systems (BAS), will be covered, along with strategies for how to manage each.

Organizations that have issued a purchase order to ES2 in order to enroll in the behavioral program are invited to register for this month's energy manager webinar. Please register at least one hour in advance of the webinar.

Is Daylight the Only Thing You’ve Been Saving?

Each individual has the opportunity to contribute to our goal of reducing energy consumption 20 percent by proactively finding small ways to help.

Now that we have sprung forward into daylight saving time, it is important that our building schedules do not get left behind. Exterior and security lighting can be set to turn on later in the day, which maximizes  not only energy savings, but also the lifetime usefulness of the bulbs. Discuss options for adjusting the timing of your lights and other systems with your maintenance and facilities team.

If you have any questions or ideas on tips to share, please contact Morgan Miller of ES2 at mmiller@es2ok.com or 405-528-4500.
