State Energy Program Update

We have received a few questions asking how the cancellation of the behavior consultant contract will affect the EnergyCap database. The EnergyCap software is owned by the state and was not part of the behavior program. Utility data should continue to be entered into the database by all organizations.

The State Energy Program (20x2020) will continue on.  Your access to the EnergyCap software and the information that it contains will not change. The State Energy Program Office (SEPO) will continue to assist with any questions or issues.

Please continue to enter your data and use the software as you have been. Remember, we are here to help you. Please feel free to contact us at 20x2020@omes.ok.gov.

Energy Tips

It’s Getting Hot

The change of the seasons is upon us, and it’s time to get your cooling systems ready for the heat. Preventive maintenance should be a priority on your list of things to do, as it will help your system run and perform at its best.

Turn it Off
Lighting is one the most overlooked and simple ways to reduce electrical cost. Turning a light off when not in use, or even when leaving a room for just a few minutes, can help cut cost.

Keep Them Involved
Remind your personnel that they have a big part in helping save energy. With a little help from everyone, you can reduce your energy cost and help the state reach its goal of saving 20% x 2020. Keep in mind, small steps can lead to big gains.
