Homicide #47 of 2026
Incident #2026-0077938
Date & Time of Incident: 10/16/2026 at 8:00 PM
Location: 2800 block of Indian Creek Blvd.
Deceased: Howell, Brandon (W/M, DOB: 1/17/1985)
Narrative: On 10/16/2026, police responded to a shooting call at a residence in the 2800 block of Indian Creek Blvd. Upon arrival, officers found Brandon Howell deceased. He appeared to have been shot to death.
Investigators learned Howell began pounding on the door of a residence, and a male inside the residence answered the door. The male resident and Howell became involved in an altercation which resulted in Howell being shot and killed.
It does not appear that Howell and the resident of the home knew one another, and it is not clear what motivated Howell to bang on the door of that residence.
The shooter remained on scene and was interviewed by homicide detectives and subsequently released. As with all homicide cases, this case will be presented to the district attorney’s office. It will be up to them to determine what, if any, charges would be appropriate.
Anyone with information should call the Homicide Tip-Line at (405) 297-1200.
