Date & Time of Incident: 8/12/2026 at 4:48 PM
Location: 20 S. M. L. King
Narrative: On 8/12/2026, police responded to a report of a deceased person at a homeless encampment near Reno and M. L. King. Arriving officers found the victim deceased at the scene. The victim had injuries consistent with homicide.
The victim has not been positively identified. Once that has been accomplished, investigators will have to make next-of-kin notification before his identity can be released.
