Location: 1521 SW 44th St.
Victim: King, Justin (I/M, DOB: 6/23/1983)
Arrested: Smith, Timothy (W/M, DOB: 8/10/1966)
Narrative: On May 1, 2026, police responded to 1521 SW 44th regarding a shooting. Officers discovered Justin King suffering from being shot. King was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Investigators learned King became engaged in an argument with Timothy Smith over King being on Smith’s property. It was during this argument that Smith produced a firearm and shot King. Smith was arrested for assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
King passed away from his injuries this past Friday, May 8th. Smith’s charges will be amended accordingly.
