Victim: Rodriguez, Kehleni (H/F, DOB: 6/12/2023)
Arrested: Lopez, Jesus (H/M, DOB: 7/1/2003)
Narrative: Sunday morning, police responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex in the 2400 block of NW 39th St. The victim, Kehleni Rodriguez, was transported to an area hospital where she died.
Investigators learned Jesus Lopez was handling a pistol, with numerous children present, when the gun discharged, killing the two-year-old girl. Lopez was interviewed and subsequently booked into jail on a complaint of first-degree manslaughter.
