Incident # 26-0004284

Date & Time: 01/18/2026 at 12:38 a.m.

Location: 950 NE 23^rd St.

Victim: Lovelace, Thomas (W/M – 05/04/1984)

Arrested: Walker, Deonta (B/M – 03/19/2007)

Narrative: Oklahoma City Police were summoned to a business at NE 23^rd St. and N. Kelley Ave. in the early morning hours of January 18^th regarding a shooting. There was a verbal altercation which began inside the store between the victim and suspect. The argument continued into the parking lot at which point the victim was shot multiple times. Police learned the name of the suspect involved and he was arrested during a traffic stop in the 1400 block of NE 29^th St. He was interviewed and subsequently booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a murder complaint.
