Location: 5732 NW 16th St.
Victim: McCoy, Dawawn (B/M, DOB: 9/8/2024)
Arrested: Banks, Logan (B/M, DOB: 1/16/2004)
Narrative: On the morning of October 25, 20025, OKCPD responded to a trouble unknown call at 5732 NW 16th St. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a small child with severe burns on his head and face. The child was transported to the Baptist Burn Center where he died approximately one week later due to complications from the burns.
Logan Banks was watching the child when the injury occurred. He was interviewed and subsequently booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of child neglect. That complaint will be amended from child neglect to murder.
Banks is the boyfriend of the deceased child’s mother.
