OKC breaks ground on MAPS 4 Family Justice Center operated by Palomar

Oklahoma City leaders and community members broke ground today on the new MAPS 4 Family Justice Center operated by Palomar.
The $42-million facility, funded through MAPS 4, will enable Palomar to continue the ongoing mission of making Oklahoma City a place free from violence where everyone feels safe and secure.
Palomar partners with community agencies to provide wraparound services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, human trafficking and children exposed to trauma. The new space will allow them to expand hours and provide vital programming such as victim assistance, therapy and trauma treatment, acute medical services, comprehensive child services, educational services, a food pantry and more.
“We are breaking ground on a monumental investment in Oklahoma City today—one that transforms how state, local, and federal agencies come together with the community to break the cycle of abuse, making our city one of the safest for survivors and for all,” Palomar Board Chair Tricia Everest said.
Opening in 2027, the new 72,884-square-foot building will be built along Hudson Avenue between NW 11th Street and NW 12th Street, just west of the current facility.
“The new Family Justice Center will provide space for Palomar to continue and expand their transformational work in our community,” MAPS Program Manager David Todd said. “The center will serve as a center for resources, nonprofits, and safe spaces, with Palomar providing an extensive range of services to support survivors of domestic violence.”
Allford Hall Monaghan Morris designed the center, and the general contractor is Crossland Construction.
