Location: 7400 blk. of NW 106th St.
Involved Officer: Lt. James Runner – ten years of service
Deceased Suspect: Allsen, Kenneth (W/M, DOB: 12/16/1977)
Narrative: On May 5, 2024, OKCPD officers responded to a domestic call in the 7400 block of NW 106th St. While officers were responding to the call, it was reported the male suspect was shooting a gun. When officers arrived, they came into contact with the armed male, identified as Kenneth Allsen, outside of the residence. Mr. Allsen was given verbal commands by the officer but refused to comply. Mr. Allsen walked away from the officers and then looked back as he grabbed a gun from his waist. Lt. Runner discharged his firearm, striking Mr. Allsen. Mr. Allsen was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The involved officer has been placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. There were no other reported injuries.
