Location: 3700 N. Kelley Ave.
Victim: James, Jamir (B/M – 06/20/2004)
Arrested: Larkins, Zyion (B/M – 02/23/2006)
Arrested: Newton, Leonard (B/M – 10/14/2007)
Narrative: This past Friday just before noon, Oklahoma City Police responded to a convenience store parking lot at NE 36th and Kelley on reports of a shooting. When officers got there, they learned the suspects arrived in a vehicle and began firing multiple rounds at a group of three individuals, including 19-year-old Jamir James.
James was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased after hours of surgery. The other injured victims had non-life-threatening wounds. Police have been able to identify and arrest two people connected to this shooting.
