Portion of North Western Avenue closed for water line repair

The southbound lanes of N. Western Ave. between NW 138^th and NW 142^nd Streets will be closed to traffic while crews with the Oklahoma City Utilities Department repair a 12” water main. Northbound traffic will be narrowed to one lane to allow for southbound traffic.

The main break is located just north of 138^th Street on Western Ave. The estimated repair time is six to eight hours. Approximately 50-60 customers on the east side of Western Ave. will be without water while the main is being repaired, including several residences and businesses along Western Ave.

Utilities officials estimate that service will be restored this evening. Currently, there is no known cause for the break.
