9/29/23 BRT Construction Update

***Plan Ahead - The intersection of Independence Ave. and NW Expressway will temporarily be a four-way stop from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, 9/30/23. Consider using an alternate route during this time. ***

Bus Stop Closures and Temporary Stops

Temporary Bus Stops

The following bus stops have been temporarily relocated:

Route 005 Inbound - Classen Blvd. at NW 23rd St. (Stop ID 3782) near Walgreens has temporarily moved south to Classen at NW 21st.
Route 005 Inbound - Classen Blvd. at NW 18th St. (Stop ID 601) has temporarily moved south to Classen at NW 17th (near Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store).

Bus Stop Closures

The following fixed-route bus stops are closed:

Route 005 Inbound - Classen Blvd. at NW 24th St. (Stop ID 598)
Route 005 Outbound - Classen Blvd. at NW 22nd St. (Stop ID 3137)

NW 23rd St. and Classen Blvd.

Phase: Cleanup

Traffic Control: The right lane of southbound Classen Blvd. is closed from NW 24th St. to NW 22nd St. The right lane of northbound Classen Blvd. is closed from NW 23rd St. to the CVS driveway. There are two northbound and two southbound lanes open during this time.

Phase: Intersection work

Traffic Control: Independence Avenue is narrowed to one lane in each direction between NW 56th St. and NW Expressway.
