Date & Time: 04/02/2023 at 1:55 a.m.

Location: 1148 NE 36^th St.

Victim: Simmons, Bennie (B/M – 09/08/1991)

No suspects in custody

Narrative: Early Sunday morning, police were summoned to 1148 NE 36^th St. in response to a disturbance that left 31-year-old Bennie Simmons shot to death. Investigators learned there was a dispute in the parking lot of the event center between Simmons and another person that escalated to gunfire.
