07/08/22 BRT Construction Update

Construction is expected to begin at four locations along the RAPID NW corridor. Those locations include:

• NW 36th Street and Classen
• NW 56th Street and Portland
• NW Expressway and Villa
• EMBARK Transit Center: 420 NW 5th Street

NW 36th Street & Classen

Phase I: Waterline and concrete pad for platform

Traffic Control: The lane furthest to the west on Classen will be closed. There will be two southbound lanes open during this time.

Estimated Construction Timeline: 7/11/22 – 9/15/22

NW 56th Street and Portland

Phase I: Concrete pad for platform

Traffic Control: A portion of the eastbound lane on NW 56th street will be closed. There will be one westbound and one eastbound lane open during this time.

Estimated Construction Timeline: 7/11/22 - 8/15/22

NW Expressway & Villa

Phase I: Sidewalk Improvements

Traffic Control: The lane on the north side of NW Expressway starting at Pennsylvania Ave will be closed. There will still be two lanes open, as well as the two turn lanes.

EMBARK - Transit Center: 420 NW 5th Street

Phase I: Electrical work, waterline work, bus pads

Traffic Control: A portion of the southbound lane on N Hudson will be closed. There will still be one southbound and two northbound lanes open during this time.

Estimated Construction Timeline: 7/11/22 - 9/16/22
