December through February is the peak time for the flu, but the season can last until May. The flu is a contagious illness caused by flu viruses that infect the nose, throat and sometimes the lungs. It can cause mild or serious illness, and can sometimes lead to death.
Know the Signs
It can be easy to mistake the flu for a bad cold. People who have the flu often feel some or all of these symptoms suddenly:
· Fever or feeling feverish/chills
· Cough
· Sore throat
· Runny or stuffy nose
· Muscle or body aches
· Headaches
· Fatigue (very tired)
Protect Yourself
The flu shot is your best chance of protecting yourself and your family, so be sure to schedule a flu shot with your doctor if you have not already. Good habits like covering your cough and washing your hands can help stop the spread of germs and prevent illnesses.

What is the name of the medication?
When should I take the medicine?
What happens if I miss my dose?
Will I need to eat food or can I take the medicine on an empty stomach?
How long will I need to take the medicine, and are there any refills?
Will this be safe to take with
other prescriptions or over the counter medications?
How will it affect my daily activities
like driving, sleepiness, or my mood?

will help to ensure you are taking your medicine correctly.
