High Visibility Patrols Planned for Halloween Weekend

With the upcoming Halloween weekend, members of the ENDUI team and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are teaming up with local law enforcement to keep everyone safe on the roads.

According to Safe Kids Worldwide, on average in the US, child pedestrians are twice as likely to be struck and killed by a vehicle while walking on Halloween compared to other days of the year.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol will be joined by the Del City Police Department and the Oklahoma City Police Department to conduct high visibility patrols across the area on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. These patrols will put more law enforcement officers on the road to be on the lookout for impaired drivers.
