This training is offered several times a year around the state by the OHP and the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office as a part of a traffic crash reconstruction class.

Members of the media are invited to get footage of the crash and help us spread the word about motorcycle safety. In 2016, 88 motorcyclists were killed in crashes in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Highway Safety Office is currently running a public awareness campaign to highlight the differences between driving a vehicle and riding a bike.

Each vehicle involved will have a series of cameras and sensors recording every second and frame of the crash. These data and videos help law enforcement see how these crashes happen in slow motion and what kind of physical forces are at work.
