ENDUI Checkpoint Planned in Grady County to Combat Impaired Driving

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, along with the Grady County Sheriff's Office, Chickasha Police Department, and the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department will be conducting an ENDUI checkpoint and saturation patrol. These activities are meant to focus efforts to get impaired drivers off the roadways in Grady County.

According to data from the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office, 21 people were killed in traffic crashes in Grady County in 2012, with eight of those being killed in alcohol-related crashes. In 2016, the number of people killed dropped to 16 for the entire county, and three were killed in alcohol-related crashes.
