Traffic Advisory
SH-266/SH-66 bridge rehabilitation project begins April 13
The second phase of a $6 million project to rehabilitate three bridges in Rogers County is scheduled to begin Monday, April 13. This phase will repair the SH-266 bridge deck over SH-66. While no lane closures are expected at this time, drivers should be alert to lanes shifting and to crews working in this corridor. Future lane closures will be announced as they become available.
This first phase began in January and is still underway to replace the bridge deck on SH-167 (193rd E. Ave.) over Tiger Switch Rd. and a BNSF rail line, and also replace the bridge deck on SH-167 at the Bird Creek Overflow. North and southbound SH-167 remains narrowed to one lane from near Pine St. to near the SH-266/SH-167 junction and temporary signals are in place. Lane widths are also reduced to 12 feet in this corridor. Delays can be expected and drivers are urged to plan ahead for extra travel time or to seek an alternate route.
The overall project is expected to complete in early 2016, weather permitting.
