Southbound I-235 ramp now open at N. 50th St.
The southbound I-235 on-ramp from N. 50th St. is now open to
traffic. This ramp was rebuilt as part of the ongoing I-235 widening and
reconstruction project between N. 36th St. and I-44.
The
new ramp configuration provides enhanced safety to motorists with a
longer merge lane. When I-235 fully reopens later this year, this merge
lane will extend from N. 50th St. to N. 36th St.
Motorists are reminded that they will be merging into an active work zone that remains narrowed to two lanes to N. 36th St.
The
northbound I-235 off-ramp to N. 50th St. will remain closed while
paving work continues on the northbound lanes through the end of summer.
Meanwhile, the northbound I-235 on-ramp from N. 50th St. will remain
permanently closed as it will be eliminated in the next phase in
reconstructing the I-235 and I-44 interchange. More

SH-77H (Sooner Rd.) narrowed at S.E. 89th St. through
Saturday
The right lane of northbound SH-77H (Sooner Rd.) is
closed at S.E. 89th St. until 4 p.m. Saturday for surface repair.
I-35 ramp at Shields Blvd. closes, I-35 narrows at N. 12th
St. in Moore Friday
The northbound I-35 off-ramp to Shields Blvd. will be closed and
the left lane of northbound I-35 will be closed between N. 12th St.
(mm 118) and Shields Blvd. (mm 119A) in Moore from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday for
lighting work by OG&E.
I-40 narrows to one lane at Choctaw Rd. Sunday morning
Westbound
I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between I-240/I-40 junction and
Choctaw Rd. (mm 166) from 5 a.m. to noon Sunday for sign maintenance.
I-40 work continues between I-240 and Peebly Rd., Triple X Rd. bridge closed until 2019
Drivers
should be alert to narrowed lanes and to eastbound I-40 traffic shifted
to the west next to westbound I-40 lanes between I-240 (mm 165) and
Peebly Rd. (mm 169) as part of on-going widening and interchange
reconstruction at Choctaw Rd. continuing through 2020. Motorists can
expect two lanes open in each direction during peak commute times. The
Triple X Rd. bridge over I-40 is closed until 2019. Drivers must use an
alternate route.

I-35 narrows near S. 19th St. in Moore nightly
beginning Saturday; I-35 narrows, lanes shift in Moore Monday
Drivers can expect the following closures on I-35 between S. 19th St. (mm 116) and Indian Hills Rd. (mm 114) for lane striping and barrier wall installation as part of construction
of the new S.W. 34th St. bridge over I-35 that continues through
summer 2019. The speed limit will also be reduced in the work zone.

I-35 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane in each direction
between S. 19th St. and Indian Hills Rd. from 7 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday and continuing nightly through Tuesday
night; and

The right lane of north and southbound I-35 will be
closed between S. 19th St. and Indian Hills Rd. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for resurfacing. Following
this closure, the north and southbound I-35 lanes will be shifted in the work
zone through fall 2018.
N. Drexel Blvd. closed at I-44 through next week
All lanes of N. Drexel Blvd. are closed under I-44 through next week for bridge painting. Traffic is being detoured locally.
On-going Construction Projects:
I-40 lanes shifted, service road narrowed at SH-4 (Mustang Rd.)
through summer 2018 for turnpike project.
Eastbound I-40 lanes are shifted between SH-4/Mustang Rd. (mm 138)
and Morgan Rd. (mm 140) and the eastbound I-40 collector road is narrowed to
one lane between SH-4/Mustang Rd. (mm 138) and the John Kilpatrick Turnpike (mm
139) through summer 2018 for work by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.

I-44 bridge/ramp narrowed to one lane at May Ave. through 2018
The
westbound I-44 bridge/ramp is narrowed to one lane between May Ave. (mm
124) and N.W. 36th St. through 2018 for a bridge rehabilitation
project. This ramp runs westbound to southbound and stretches over SH-66
(39th Expwy) and SH-74 (Lake Hefner Pkwy). Drivers can expect major
delays in this area and should locate an alternate route such as Lincoln
Blvd., I-35 or I-235.
I-35 narrows to one lane at N.E. 122nd St., ramps close nightly through summer 2018
Drivers can expect various lane and ramp closures on north and southbound I-35 between
N.E.122nd St. (mm 137) and US-77/SH-66/Second St. (mm 141) from 7 pm.
to 6 a.m. nightly and on weekends from 7 p.m. Fridays to 6 p.m. Sundays
through summer 2018. The speed limit is also reduced to 60 mph through
the work zone.
I-235 ramp to N.E. 23rd St. narrowed to one lane through summer 2018
The northbound I-235 off-ramp to N.E. 23rd St. is narrowed to one lane through
summer 2018 for ramp modification.
Memorial Rd. narrows intermittently at SH-74 through fall 2018
East and westbound
Memorial Rd. will be intermittently narrowed to one lane between
SH-74/Portland Ave. and Pennsylvania Ave. through fall 2018 for a
resurfacing project. Motorists should expect a reduced speed limit as
well as significant delays and congestion through fall, especially at
the intersections of Memorial Rd. with SH-74, May Ave. and Pennsylvania
Ave. Additionally, night-time lane closures can be expected on eastbound
and westbound Memorial Rd. later in the project. For more information,

SH-74 widening project ongoing at N.W. 164th St. through summer
2019; N.W. 192nd St. closed at SH-74 through mid-August
Motorists should expect intermittent delays and congestion on
SH-74 between N.W. 164th St. and N.W. 206th St./Covell Rd. as part of an ongoing
widening project through summer 2019. Additionally, N.W. 192nd St.
is closed between SH-74 and Bloomfield Pl. through mid-August for interchange

Downtown streets narrow, close for Oklahoma City Boulevard project
through summer 2018
As part of the Oklahoma City Boulevard construction project,
motorists can expect the following lane closures through summer 2018:
- Western
Ave. and Classen Blvd. are closed between Reno Ave. and W. Sheridan Ave.;
- Robinson
Ave. is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Reno Ave. and S.W.
Fifth St.;
- Reno
Ave. is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Klein and Walker;
- Drivers
will not be able to make a left turn from Reno Ave. onto S. Western Ave.
or onto S. Classen Blvd.;
- California
St. is permanently closed at Classen Blvd.
- S.W.
Fifth St. is an eastbound only detour between Western Ave. and Walker
Ave.; and
- S.W.
Third St. remains closed between Broadway Ave. and Shields Blvd./E.K.
Gaylord Blvd.
Drivers in downtown Oklahoma City should pay close attention to
signage and should plan extra travel time in the area. If traveling I-40,
motorist are encouraged to exit at Penn Ave. or Robinson Ave. The project is
expected to continue through mid-2019.
Western Ave., N.W. 178th St. narrowed through Spring 2019
The following closures onN. Western Ave. and N.W. 178th St. as part of an ongoing reconstruction and widening project:
- East and westbound N.W. 178th St. are narrowed to one lane in each direction between Griffin Dr. and Vermejo Dr.
- North and southbound Western Ave. will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between N.W. 178th and N.W. 192nd.
- Highland Park Rd. remains accessible at Western Ave. and serves as a detour for northbound Western Ave. traffic.
Western Ave. will be widened to four lanes between N.W. 178th St. and N.W. 192nd St. in partnership with the City of Oklahoma City. Speed limit is reduced and motorists should plan for delays and congestion in the area and seek an alternate route when possible. The project is expected to complete in spring 2019. SH-33 narrowed, speed limits reduced in Guthrie through fall 2018
Eastbound and westbound SH-33 remains narrowed to one lane in each direction between I-35 and SH-77 for ongoing bridge construction through Fall 2018. Additionally, speed limits are reduced and wide loads are restricted through the work zone. There is no pedestrian access across the bridge during construction. SH-9 narrows at 12th Ave S.E. in Norman daily through August
All lanes of SH-9 are open at 12th Ave.
S.E. in Norman, however, left turns are restricted through August for work as part of

N. MacArthur Blvd. closed at N.W. 178th St. through summer 2018
N. MacArthur Blvd. is closed between N.W. 178th St. and N.W. 206th
St. (Covell Rd.) in the Deer Creek area through summer for an ongoing Oklahoma
County bridge and resurfacing project. Access remains open to Deer Creek Rd.
from the north and to White Tail Drive from the south.
